What am I looking at on those tires?

Kudos to you man, I don't think I'll ever be confident enough to ride a motorcycle like that.

My tire warmers were putting the tires at 175 degrees, which is what Pirelli recommends, but it was about 65-70 degrees outside, windy, and overcast. So once on track the tires were cooling off, which was causing the tire pressures to drop, once they dropped and the tire became underinflated they were hot tearing. This is because they were squishing more than they should which was heating up the surface of the tire faster than it could transfer the heat to the carcass. The carcass of the tire was staying cool, the surface was getting hot, and then because of that the hot surface starts to rip off. So what I needed to do was overinflate my tires on the warmers so when they dropped a few psi on track they would drop into the correct operating range.

Nah, if you ever decided you wanted too and put in some time and practice that pace is totally doable :).

That’s what I thought just wasn’t sure. Thanks for the details.

Right now I barely have enough gear to be some what safe on the street, for me it would take more safety gear then I believe it’ll be worth.

I should have done that stuff in my 20's.

So what you’re saying is the tires got too hot because they were too cold. Got it.

;)

MSR Cresson! That’s where I did my very first ever track day.

Ooh, how were the grip levels out there in the moistness? I hear car people always complain about Cresson when it’s wet, but I have no idea what it’s like on a bike.

The track was dry while I was out there. As soon as it started to rain hard enough to start getting the track slick I came off. So, I dunno!
